FAQ: How do I determine the V-I power limits of my electronic load?

The power limit of each load module is specified in Watts - 600 W for example. This applies across the entire input range of the unit. If you want to determine the maximum current for a given voltage point, use the following formula: Imax=600W/Vsetting.

So, if you are operating at 30 V for example, you can sink 600 W/30 V = 20 A maximum. Note that the extended power limit is about 10% more than full power so for this unit it would be about 660 W.

Applies to: N3300A, N3301A, N3302A, N3303A, N3304A, N3305A, N3306A, N3307A
